Life Update: New MiA upload + Ears Pierced!

Hey everyone!

I must admit that I have been neglecting this blog for a long time. Anything I say is going to end up as an excuse so I'm going to say the main reason why--too lazy. Do you ever feel like more of nothing you do, more nothing you want to do? Does that even make sense?? Ahahaha :3

This is the last week I'm back at home so I will do an update of what has been happening in the last 2 months or so.

Made in Asia

Let us start with a preview photo~

Da da daaaah~~

And because the above picture doesn't show everyone in the cover, here's another picture.
Oh look! It's a Titus!
The photos are by Blessings Photography.
More photos available on our MiA Facebook page!

If you haven't seen already, these photos are from the time we filmed the cover of Bad Girl by Ladies' Code as a tribute to them. If you don't already know, the members were involved in a tragic car accident on 3rd of September, 2014. Read the news here.

This is one of our biggest cover yet, literally. It is the first time we had 10 people dancing in the cover. We also had (almost) weekly practices at the studio, and hopefully it shows in the cover. It would be great if you guys could go and have a look at the cover.

I got my ears pierced~

Finally~!!
I've been meaning to.
I swear I've been meaning to for the past 2 years or so. (And I've been saying that I'm going to get it pierced for all those times)
And finally.
On an impulse.
I got my first piercings done!!

I got one earlobe piercing on each ear done at a local chemists about two weeks ago.

But it didn't stop there.....

And 3 days ago, I got my second earlobe piercing on my right ear done at a piercing place.

All the piercings I wanted are now done :3. I'm really satisfied~.

Welcome back crappy phone selfie quality photos haha. (points back to the laziness I mentioned at the start of the post)

For now, I'm planning to review more circle lenses, namely Cocoro Brown and Princess Mimi Apple Green, so please look forward to it!

Thanks for reading~

[Review] GEO Mimi Cafe Latte Brown [Circle Lenses]

Obligatory edited selfie at the start of the post :3

Hey everyone! I've recently ordered a bunch of contacts from HoneyColor because of their amazing Cyber Monday sale <3 50% off contacts are awesome :3

But,

I'm not planning to open any of them until one of my current ones expire.

So today, I'm going to be doing a review of Geo Mimi Cafe Latte Brown lenses. I bought these in a store in Adelaide, but you can find these lenses in most of the circle lens stores online.

Please keep in mind that my eyes are very very dark, so some of the points may not apply to some of you. :3

Specifications
Usage: 1 year
Base Curve: 8.7mm
Diametre: 15.0mm
Water Content: 38%

Size Comparison
Top: No contact on left eye
Bottom: Both eyes with contacts

Various Lighting

Top: Flash
Middle: No flash, natural light
Bottom: Natural sun light

Summary
Colour: 4/5
The colour of the lenses doesn't show up much in normal settings for my eyes, but I expect that a lot for brown lenses since my eyes are very dark. The colour won't be as light as the yellows in the first picture, but you can vaguely see the pattern in most lighting. They only really pop in brighter lighting.

Enlargement: 5/5
These make your eyes look larger in an instant. 15mm lenses are the largest ones that I'm comfortable with. Also, I reckon if the lenses were any larger it wouldn't fit through my eyes :P

Naturalness: 4/5
I like how the outer rim is dark brown, which make it look more natural than black rimmed circle lenses while still enlarging the eyes. In brighter lights, the pattern is more obvious.

Comfort:  5/5
I can wear these contacts for over 10 hours before they feel dry, and they are very comfortable. After 12 hours or so, it does get irritating for my eyes but that is way beyond the recommended time to wear circle lenses.

Overall: 4.5/5
One of my favourite lenses that I almost wear daily. It doesn't matter much if the pattern doesn't show up on normal daily basis, but they are comfortable to wear over along time, and looks quite natural in most settings. I would recommend these to anyone first trying out circle lenses, or anyone looking for lenses that can be worn on a near daily basis.

Made in Asia Update! Variety Concert 2014

Hi everyone!

Sorry for the much lack of update. The one simple excuse is that I've been very lazy. You know the feeling when there's nothing planned, you just absolutely feel like doing nothing. I should stop doing that.

Yesterday it was the annual Variety Concert at my high school. Since I was back in town, there was no way I wouldn't visit my kouhai's performances ;) <3

First thing I noticed upon getting to the school was that.......I didn't recognise half of the people in school, which is to be expected but I didn't realise until then. Then I also noticed something awesome. There's new people in the dance crew!!!

The new kids are so good as well! It was really fun joining them backstage, watching them practice. The performance was amazing. The video should be up soon on YouTube. I'll link it on this post when it does.

EDIT: Here's the link to the video [YouTube]

Here are some photos that I had fun taking and playing around with editing.

It was a fun afternoon and really made me miss dancing....hope to do more dance next year!
.....I should start making New Years Resolutions ahaha.

Shameless advertising of the group.

Daily Skin Care Routine

Hey everyone! I have now officially finished exams for this year, and I need to pack everything away in time for me to move out from the current residence and go back home for the next 3 months~ I haven't seen my family in ages so I'm really excited.

Since I won't be able to make a long post like last week, I decided to write a quick summary of what I do to try make my skin as nice as possible.

Morning
One thing I noticed after putting on make up daily is that my skin has gradually become worse, and these days I'm trying to reduce the impact the makeup has on the skin.

Favourite moisturiser wihtin
my student budget range
  1. Wash face as usual
  2. Moisturise with Vaseline Dry Skin Lotion
  3. Apply sunscreen on face (SPF 30 or 50)
  4. Pour some Johnson's Baby Powder on a lid and use a puff to apply the powder to your face instead of foundation. Don't use too much or your face will turn out white.
Otherwise I just apply make up as usual.

Night
  1. Shower as usual
  2. After patting the skin somewhat dry, apply moisturiser around the body except for your face.
  3. Use face mask. I like the cheap but daily ones but I haven't tried enough brands to recommend any. The ones I've used are from Lululun and Babyish.
  4. Meanwhile, take some more moisturiser and massage your legs. (I might write a post going into more detail about the leg massage at some later  date)
  5. After 30 mins, take off the mask and apply moisturiser to the face as usual.
Packs of 30-45
Can buy packs of 50

I hope you enjoyed reading :3

Weekly Coordinates: Casual T-shirt

After long, hard hours of playing Pokemon while feeling guilty, my exams are nearly over! Phew! One last exams then I have to worry about packing all the mess I unpacked at the start of the year, and just spend time with those dear ones before we all go our separate ways during these holidays.

That aside, let's start with the main topic of this post. OOTDs for this week~ :3 (Would it be OOTW? Outfits of the week? Who knows) I've given myself the topic of casual T-shirts. It's one of those pieces of clothing that's always in our wardrobes, regardless of what your fashion style is. It is so simple and it goes well with pretty much everything. Here are some ways I like to wear them. I stuck to two types of T-shirts this time around.

(Warning: Bad quality photos coming up :P One day the quality will be better once I get a tripod and I can actually use my camera. *EDIT: yaaay tripod from JB Hifi~ It was only $24 too :3)

Monday

Oversized Rabbit Print T-shirt
Black Suspender Skir

Tuesday
Grey Mustache T-shirt
High-waisted Denim Shorts
Matryoshka Hoodie

Wednesday

Oversized Rabbit Print T-shirt
Grey Maxi Skirt

Thursday
Grey Mustache T-shirt
Overalls

Friday
Oversized Rabbit Print T-shirt
Faux Leather Tight Skirt.

I initially had commentary under each of the days, but there are so many overlapping things that I decided to write a overall one.

There's no question that T-shirt is the basics of casual styles. T-shirts go well with basically anything as long as the colour isn't dramatic. On the other hand, dramatic colours can give a nice pop to the outfit. You can see that the colours of most of my outfit are quite monotone and nothing really stands out. This can fixed with small colour accessories like headbands, or bags, or shoes :3

Another point is that if the top is loose, I prefer tighter bottoms, and vice versa. It generally give you a nicer silouette in my opinion. Tight x tight is good too :3.

Also, a very important point that I keep in mind:
I have long torso in comparison to legs, so I always try to make my legs look longer ahahaha. I really like the clean look of a simple T-shirt with pants or jeans but it doesn't suit my short legs unfortunately :(

Other examples of coordinates with T-shirts:

White T-shirt with Pastel coloured skinny jeans

I really like how clean the whole outfit looks!

T-shirt with same coloured skirt

This is a good idea I came across that I've never tried. Having two of the same colour make
it seem as if those two were meant to come in a set. I find it really cool~

Exams, Exams....and Food.

Hey everyone~

I hope everyone is having a great week. For some people, I hope your final exams are going well. I myself decided that it was a great idea to make this blog 2 days before my first exam, write a post 1 day before, and end up stressing out about not studying enough.

Stress usually translates over to my diet, as I tend to snack more during these times. I mean, a lot lot more. I usually try not to buy too many snacks, but during exam study period I stock up on things like Tim Tams and Pocky. I can finish a value pack in one day, which is so bad for my body;; I'm not the best when it comes to self control, and I'm working on that.

My lunch of choice during these time usually sticks around for the whole study break and during exams, and thankfully I decided this time around I'm going to eat these. I think it's relative healthy...right? Right??? Haha. Everything is healthy relative to snacks that I eat.

Sandwiches!!!!
I love stacking so much salad that it falls off from the sides! I always love the idea of having more vegetables than the meat and the carbohydrates put together. There was even this long phase where I didn't eat any carbs like bread, rice or noodles, but these days I try to eat everything and try to lose weight at the same time.

If we look inside, there's one egg and approx. 80g of chicken breast. I've never been a big fan of red meat, and chicken, fish, egg and tofu is probably my main sources of protein. Chicken is covered with cumin powder, and to top it off there is sweet chilli sauce. Personally cumin and sweet chilli aren't the best combination but my tongue seem to like it anyhow.

I love this since it's so simple to put together, since I get more stressed if I think I'm wasting too much time not studying during this time. And it's yummy. Yummy food makes me happy~ :3

Yummy food makes me happy~ :3 (had to write it twice since it's so important)

Messy room is messy regardless of whether it's
exam time or not
On a side note, I keep getting mysterious ink stains on my arms in the past few days even though I've done close to no studying so there shouldn't be any ink anywhere. Neither of the left arm or the right arm is spared, Maybe the Fountain Pen God is telling me to use the ink to write and study otherwise one day I'll be covered with ink??? I should get back to studying.

Good luck everyone on your exams!
